February 6th is "Bath Day" in Japan.
The history of bathing in Japan goes back to the 6th century, when the custom of bathing for purification was introduced along with Buddhism. This custom merged with the ancient ritual of "misogi," a form of purification, and led to the development of Japan's unique bathing culture.
Especially during this cold season, a bath is essential for warming the body. It not only cleanses the body but also warms it to the core, thus relaxing the mind as well.
